Steve Hargadon is the director of the K12 Open Technologies Initiative at the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN), and the founder of the Classroom 2.0 social network. Steve Hargadon blogs, speaks, and consults on educational technology, and is particularly passionate about Free and Open Source Software, Web 2.0, computer reuse, and computing for low-income populations. Steve runs the Open Source Pavilion and speaker series for the NECC and CUE shows, is the organizer of EduBloggerCon, and holds a series of free workshops around the country (Classroom 2.0 LIVE) to help educators learn about the educational uses of the participative aspect of the Web.
Steve consults for Ning, running their http://education.ning.com site as well as many others. He is also the Emerging Technologies Chair for NECC, a regular columnist at School Library Journal, and a blogger at multiple sites including the Infinite Thinking Machine and TechLearning.
