In this course, you will expand and deepen your knowledge of reading, writing, listening and speaking, as well as your understanding of the connections among different types of communication. You will read and comprehend texts from a variety of genres (fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and biography). You will also read and understand informational texts from other subject areas in addition to language arts. As you read, you will independently use a variety of strategies to deepen and expand your understanding of the material.
