This course is designed to provide a basic understanding of physics, focusing on developing an understanding of how matter and energy interact in the natural world. Primary goals are to promote enthusiasm for science and respect for the physical world, to develop the ability to make informed decisions based on evidence and the ability to interact with the world responsibly. You will utilize a variety of problem solving techniques to analyze real-world problems. During our exploration of physical science and technology, you will be using interactive tutorials, a discussion board and several web 2.0 tools to study units on motion, forces, machines, energy sources and sound and light waves.
