Throughout this course you will uncover fascinating facts on history while developing critical thinking and communication skills. This class is a concentrated study of American History from the Age of Exploration to Immigration in the early 1900's. We will look at events from economic, social, political, and military viewpoints .There are no perquisites for the course however internet access weekly is required. This course is internet driven, however one of the fundamental objectives will be group interaction and collaboration. A main requirement for success in this course is communication and contributions to the online class community.
An ultimate goal in the course is to provide students with the skills they need to educate themselves. Many assignments throughout the course will require research on the Internet as well as collaborating with your peers in the class. For some, this may your first online class and for others perhaps you have had many, either way all of you will develop new and innovative ways to learn American History.
