The North Hills School District offers students a variety of flexible opportunities for blended learning. In addition to a traditional brick and mortar school setting, we permit students to choose an online learning education via our Online Academy @North Hills ~ a K-12 online learning option. Students may enroll in the Online Academy either full time or part time. Both options allow our students to attend face-to-face courses for part of the day and online courses for the remainder of the day. This model has proven to be very successful for our students. Positive impacts of this model include students choosing our Online Academy instead of cyber charter schools and significant decreases in course scheduling conflicts. In the future, the District plans to expand blended learning opportunities by connecting students with career and college readiness opportunities such as internships in local area businesses. Blendedschools.net has been instrumental in assisting our District in moving forward with blended learning opportunities through their technological capabilities and curricular offerings. Additionally, the customer service and support Blendededschools.net provides has been exemplary.
