In this course, students will develop and master the basics of the suite components--Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Publisher using Microsoft Office 2003. The course guides learners through a developmental phase, where small learning blocks (called Step-by-Steps) will guide students through practice activities. At the end of each lesson, mini projects are used to demonstrate skills developed in each lesson. At the end of each unit, capstone simulations and/or comprehensive projects are used to demonstrate mastery of skills. Pretests, study guides, quizzes, and objective tests are periodically available for self-analysis, review, and reinforcement of terminologies and concepts.

The student will understand:
- How to develop and master the basics of the suite components--Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Publisher.
- How to apply skills in computer application tools to solve real life problems.
