In this course, students will learn advanced techniques they can use to produce, design, and utilize digital media. They will learn a broad range of skills and concepts and through hands-on activities. Students will learn techniques for producing and distributing digital images, audio, video, and interactive media. Students will leave this class with a digital portfolio that showcases their digital media skills and projects.

The student will understand:
- Utilizing digital media comes with rights, responsibilities and requires digital citizenship etiquette.
- Safety and security measures must be taken by users of digital media.
- Digital media is content that can be created, manipulated and distributed using digital tools. Communication is possible at a global level via podcasting.
- Images can be manipulated with a variety of tools.
- Ethical considerations must be made when using image-editing software.

- Digital Video Camera
- Access to Internet
- Adobe Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) can use Gimp which is free open-source software, however lessons in this course are developed for Photoshop.
- Garageband or Audacity
- iMovie or MovieMaker
- Microsoft Word or equivalent (Google Docs available over internet for free).
- Microsoft Powerpoint or equivalent (Google Docs available over internet for free).
- Scratch Animation Software (Free download)
