Science 5
SC.05.v5.Bnet4copy
In this course, students will be challenged to expand their Scientific Literacy initiated in earlier grades, encourage the use of science as a communication tool, gain age-appropriate knowledge and understanding of the scientific concepts, and build upon the skills needed to become lifelong learners. Extensions of the goals should encourage students to use scientific processes and principles in making personal decisions, expand thinking to look at the broader picture, and improve their potential economic productivity. Students will experience hands on where they are immersed in integrated thematic units in Life, Earth, and Physical Science. The course is focused on scientific inquiry and discovery with a variety of assessments from quizzes, projects, and using student created activities. The content is aligned with the Pennsylvania and National Science standards.
